The Simeon Group and its subsidiaries respect your privacy. This privacy notice describes your right to privacy and our commitment to protecting your personal information.
Simeon is a Finnish company whose legal entities, business processes, administrative structures and technical systems transcend national borders. Simeon delivers services to European private and public customers (Customers). Simeon’s head office is in Rajamäki. All companies in the Simeon Group are located within the EU/EEA area, so they are subject to European laws and directives regarding data and privacy protection. Our privacy policy and instructions are based on EU Directive 2016/679 and on current privacy legislation in the countries where we operate. At Simeon, all important decisions about privacy protection are made at group level.

- Scope and Approval
This privacy notice applies to all of Kiitosimeon Oy’s business processes and websites, business areas, mobile solutions, cloud services, online communities and websites under the Simeon brand.
This notice describes how Simeon processes data when Simeon determines the purposes and means of the processing. In this sense, Simeon is the personal data controller.
Personal data is data that can be used to identify a person, such as address, e-mail address or telephone number. We need to process your personal data in order to serve you as a customer. By accepting cookies, you agree to the procedures and terms of this privacy policy. If you want to limit your privacy settings, you can also do so via settings until you accept them. If you do not give your consent to this, do not use Simeon’s websites and do not provide your personal data.
- Whose data do we process?
Simeon processes data about contractual partners, subcontractors, contact persons, those who use our services and such potential new customers who contact us via Simeon’s websites or other channels.
In addition, we process information about our customers’ employees and other persons for whom our customers are responsible for personal data.
In this notice, the persons to whom the data apply may be called persons, you or the data subject.
- Simeon as personal data controller
If Kiitosimeon’s subsidiary determines the purposes and means for how the data is processed, this company is the personal data controller. Simeon is the personal data controller for personal data that we collect about job seekers, staff at a Customer who has or may have a business relationship with Simeon, and about people who request information on their own or their employer’s behalf. If you represent Simeon’s Customer, you have the same rights as a private person who only represents himself.
3.1 Why do we process your personal data?
In connection with the management of customer relations, as well as to fulfill commitments to the Customers, Simeon requests information from you, which describes your role as the customer’s contact person or as a user of the service.
Our goals:
Create quotations for services requested by Customers or potential Customers
- b) Inform about services closely related to the services that the Customer already uses
- c) Deliver services and support in the manner agreed with the Customer
- d) Improve our services and the quality of the Simeon websites
- e) Identify and prevent threats to information security, maintain systems and correct errors
- f) Prevent misuse of our services
- g) Provide information that is normally needed in our deliveries and the management of our customer relationships
- h) Manage orders, deliver services and invoicing
- i) Enable payment for services purchased from Simeon
The processing of data for the above-mentioned purposes (a–i) is needed for the management of customer relations. Therefore, Simeon requests your consent to process your personal data.
In addition, we collect information about drivers and contact persons for the following purposes:
- j) To manage permissions to web-based programs and services
- k) For contact either electronically or by telephone
If you are a job seeker, we collect your data for the following purposes:
- l) To analyze your skills and background
- m) To assess your opportunities as an employee of Simeon or our Customers
Your personal data is needed to grant access to our various programs and services, as well as to the information you requested.

Purposes a–k
For example, Simeon may process the following personal data about you:
Your contact details and the Customer’s contact details, such as name, address, e-mail address and telephone number Information about your employment, such as job title, position and professional preferences and interests Feedback, comments and questions regarding Simeon as a supplier or our services
We have photographs or videos of you, which have been taken/recorded on our premises
Identifying user data, such as username and password
As a personal data controller, Simeon does not process your sensitive personal data.
Your contact details, such as name, address, email address and telephone number
Information about your employment, such as tasks and how long the employment lasted
Professional preferences and interests
Content you provided to Simeon, such as photographs or videos
Summaries that arise from the information you have provided in personal assessments
As a personal data controller, Simeon does not process your sensitive personal data unless it relates to personal assessments of you.
3.3 How do we collect your personal data?
Usually, Simeon collects personal data directly from you. If a Customer who is your employer purchases Simeon’s services through one of Simeon’s partner companies, we may collect your data from this partner company.
In some cases, we may collect your information from other permitted sources, if you have given the relevant party permission to disclose your personal information to others. These sources may be third-party data collectors, Simeon’s marketing partners, public sources or third-party social networks. Simeon may combine your personal data from one source with personal data from other sources. Then we get a more comprehensive picture of you as a contact person and can thus serve you better and more individually.

3.5 How do we disclose your personal data?
The Simeon Group includes several companies, so it is likely that the Customer has business relations with several companies within the Simeon Group. It is important that we offer the best possible customer service and produce as positive experiences as possible. Therefore, companies that belong to the Simeon group can disclose your information to each other so that we can get a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s relationships with companies within the group. The aim is to ensure that you get the information you need when you need it and that Simeon does not contact you unnecessarily often.
Simeon does not disclose your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes without your permission. During the selection process in a recruitment, we disclose your data to the parties participating in the recruitment. Simeon may disclose your personal data to third parties for other purposes only as follows:
3.6.1 Business partners
Simeon may disclose your personal data to its partners if business operations require it. This can happen if, for example, you purchase our services on behalf of your employer from one of our authorized partners.
3.6.2 Authorities
The police and other authorities may require Simeon to release your personal data for checks or criminal or accident investigations. In that case, Simeon releases the information only to the authorities to whom the matter applies.
3.6.3 Business acquisition
If Simeon merges with another company or makes a business acquisition, or if Simeon’s business operations are sold in whole or in part, the acquiring party, as well as its and Simeon’s consultants, will have access to the information managed by the relevant entity within Simeon. The information may in some cases consist of personal data. In that case, the third parties enter into a confidentiality agreement with Simeon, which also covers any disclosure of personal data.
3.7 Your rights
3.7.1 Right to refuse marketing communications
You have the right to refuse to receive marketing communications from Simeon by contacting us by email kiitosimeon@simeon.fi
If you opt out of receiving marketing communications from Simeon, you may still receive administrative communications from Simeon, such as order confirmations and account transaction notifications (for example, password change confirmations and notifications.
3.7.2 Right to access to own personal data and to make corrections
You have the right to request a copy of your personal data. You can send us a request for this. We will respond to your request within 1 month of receiving the request.
You also have the right to ask Simeon to correct errors in your personal data. If you have an account on one of Simeon’s websites, you can usually do so under any item Your account or Your profile on the website or in Simeon’s cloud service. To manage a subscription to Simeon’s newsletter, click the manage link at the bottom of the messages you receive. You can also send us a request to correct your data.
3.7.3. Right to request that the data be deleted
You have the right to request that your data be deleted if the processing of your data is based on your consent and you wish to withdraw your consent. You can also request that your data be deleted if your personal data is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, or if you feel that your personal data has been processed unlawfully and no other legislation or authority provision entails an obligation to store the data.
3.7.4. Transfer of data to another system
You have the right to receive personal data about you in machine-readable form and the right to transfer them to another personal data controller if the processing of your data is based on your consent or if your data is processed to fulfill an agreement to which you are a party or to take action on request by you before entering into such an agreement.
3.7.5. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
If you feel that your rights have been violated regarding the processing of your personal data, you have the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority for data protection.
3.8 Information security and storage of information
3.8.1 How do we protect your personal data?
Simeon wants to live up to the trust you have shown us. Simeon is committed to preventing the unlawful use, unlawful disclosure and other unauthorized processing of your data. In addition, Simeon is committed to ensuring that the data is used correctly to ensure information security and safe usability. As part of our commitment, we use appropriate physical, technical and administrative methods to protect the data we collect and process. Simeon has taken several measures to ensure information security:
Closed environment – Simeon stores your data in closed environments to which only Simeon employees and subcontractors who need the data in their work have access. In addition, Simeon adheres to generally accepted industry standards.
Encryption of payment information – Simeon uses encryption that meets industry standards to protect, for example, confidential information sent over the Internet, such as credit card information.
Please note that these measures do not protect the personal data that you share publicly, such as information that you post on social sites.
3.8.2 How long do we save your personal data?
Simeon saves your personal data only as long as it is needed for the stated purposes, such as answering questions, solving problems or fulfilling statutory obligations.
- Simeon’s data protection
Simeon offers its customers several different services. These services mean that the Customer’s information and possibly also personal data are processed. In the role of personal data controller, Simeon is obliged to take technical and organizational information security measures to protect privacy on behalf of the Customer.
As a personal data controller, Simeon is obliged to notify the authorities and/or the person to whom the data applies of a violation or an illegal disclosure of personal data in the manner determined by legislation.
As a personal data processor, Simeon does not process personal data in any other way than that which the agreement with the personal data controller gives the right to.
If those to whom the information applies, for example, have questions, comments or demands regarding personal data that Simeon has processed, they must be sent to the person in charge of personal data. As a personal data processor, Simeon does not disclose personal data about those to whom the data applies, unless the data controller has given instructions to do so. If the police or another authority requires that personal data be disclosed, Simeon asks the authority to contact the person in charge of personal data and ask them to disclose the information.
Simeon provides non-public information about its internal systems and information management routines to Customers and partners upon request. This may depend on the terms of the confidentiality agreement.
- Subcontractors and transfer of personal data
In some cases, Simeon hires subcontractors for the processing of the data. In that case, your data or the Customer’s data may be taken outside the EU. These subcontractors are usually providers of cloud services or other IT services. If subcontractors are used, Simeon enters into a data processing agreement (DPA) with them to protect your privacy and fulfill commitments to Customers.
If data is processed outside the EU, we ensure that the DPA is based on EU Standard Contractual Clauses or that the importer of the data has an EU/US Privacy Shield certification if located in the US. In that case, we notify the Customer about the export of the data.
- Changes to this Notice
If we make changes to the privacy notice, we will post the changed notice and the date of the change here. We encourage you to regularly read the notice. If we make significant changes to the notice and our privacy policy is materially changed, we may also notify you in other ways, such as by sending an email or posting a notice on our corporate website and/or social media page before the change takes effect.
